March 2009 Newsletter
Greetings from Green Spirit Healthy Living!

My thoughts these days are turning to spring – will it ever arrive? Just when we get a nice warm day and think winter may be over, the next day it snows! Oh well, we can start creating our own spring and for me, that usually means some spring cleaning.
Time to rid ourselves of things that have accumulated over a long winter. The best place to start is with our own bodies. Maybe we’ve overindulged a bit too much or hibernated over the winter and need to boost our spirits and energy. Once we’ve taken care of ourselves, other things in life seem to fall more easily into place. If you’re wondering were to start, I have a few ideas for you.

One way I like to start a new season is with a cleanse. The one I am starting today, and have done in the past, is called the Blessed Herbs Colon cleanse. Cleansing your body of accumulated waste has many health benefits, including improving your digestion and elimination, better absorption of nutrients, boosts your immune system, increased energy, and adds a healthy glow to your skin. I find it really helps me mentally as much as physically, gets rid of cobwebs in the brain and gives me a renewed boost to stick to healthy habits. What I love about the Blessed Herb cleanse, is that you can tailor it to fit your unique needs and cleansing options. It can be a 9 or 30 day cleanse, with a 5 day juice fast or not – and they now have a 21-day free trial!

If you don’t quite feel up to doing a regimented cleanse, that’s fine. Another great way to detox your body is with the right foods. Adding more live, raw foods to your diet has a naturally cleansing effect and will give you many of the same benefits. Want to add more raw foods to your diet but not sure where to start? I have a Forget Cooking class coming up on March 19th. This class is geared towards beginners to raw foods, or anyone that needs some new ideas for simple meals.

Need to lose some weight and want to have a plan that really works and guided help to accomplish your goals for good? I can’t think of anyone I would recommend more than Angela Stokes. Angela lost over 160 lbs, has gotten off the many medications she was on and has totally transformed her life. She has helped so many people to create their own transformations and has now created a step-by-step plan to natural, lasting weight loss. If you’re serious about wanting to improve your health and maintain a healthy weight, you owe it to yourself to check out her RevitalLive Plan. You can sign up any time, but Angela is doing a special promotion that starts on March 3rd and runs through March 6th that includes special bonuses on top of the regular program materials.

I have scheduled some really great classes for the next couple of months. In addition to the “Forget Cooking” class, is “Breakfast & Brunch” on March 29th, “Raw Italy” on April 19th and “Latin American Fiesta” on May 3rd. You can sign up for one class or take advantage of a discount by registering for all 4 classes or the 3 gourmet classes. You also insure your space in the class by registering early!

This month’s recipe is a great one to include in your spring cleaning plan – Energy Soup! The name says it all- and it is delicious.

Mike Adams, the “Health Ranger” and editor of naturalnews.com, has created the “Health Revolution Petition” calling for revolutionary changes in our health care system that encourage health and prosperity instead of disease and corporate profit. Please help him achieve his goal of 100,000 signatures. You can read and sign the petition here.

Wishing you radiant health!
